Rewards Given to ConstitutionDAO Contributors

PeopleDAO Collaborates with Generative Artist, Y4000, to Reward Contributors to The ConstitutionDAO

THE METAVERSE — Although the bid for an original copy of the Constitution was lost — a community was formed and has now been rewarded with a unique NFT collection: Constitution Fractionalized by Y4000. A collection that commemorates the joy and chaos of how a community of strangers came together to achieve a shared goal.

Shortly after the auction was lost, a lot of people tuned out of the ConstitutionDAO just as quickly as they had tuned in — a few stuck around enthralled by the power of Web3 and formed the PeopleDAO. The PeopleDAO is governed by the $PEOPLE token, which is an ERC-20 token contributors to the ConstitutionDAO could claim in proportion to their donation. The very nature of how the token came into existence was a fair and equitable distribution, which is unique compared to many other meme-coins. The challenge of forming a DAO around a token that already exists is that there is no treasury to start with; but that didn’t stop the core community from banding together and pooling funds so that there is a budget the treasury can work with.

The mission of PeopleDAO is to advance Web3 and benefit social good through the incubation and support of sub-DAOs and special projects. The PeopleDAO is building an ecosystem around the $PEOPLE token and accruing value to its holders.

Y4000 conceived the Constitution Fractionalized generative art NFT collection as way to reward the new entrants into the Web3 space. Inspired by the enthusiasm of the ConsitutionDAO community, and playing with the idea of “fractionally owning a copy of the Constitution” — the CFRAC NFT collection marks the historic event as the genesis NFT collection for the ConstitutionDAO/PeopleDAO community. It was offered as a free mint to anyone who contributed to the ConstitutionDAO via the JuiceBox DAO fundraising platform. Each of the 1028 NFTs are a unique piece of art which plays off the delicate balance of order and disorder.

PeopleDAO and Y4000 came together to reward the NFT collection to the community who has continued to stay engaged. A portion of mint proceeds were donated to the Smithsonian Institution.
